About Our Trip

So Diana had wanted to go to Thailand for a while but our work schedule and our sensible idea of losing precious vacation time on account of flying did not permit it. But with an understanding boss (thank you, Kip) and Diana’s freelance career, we were able to take a long-deserved journey to the Far East.

Why Thailand?

We wanted to experience a new culture, a new way of living and, as Di puts it, we wanted to “escape to a place where we couldn’t be reached.”

Of course, there’s always Internet cafes…

Photos

View photos of our trip to Bangkok. This includes our stay on Khao San Road, where we stayed the first couple of nights. You'll also see shots from temples like Wat Phra Kaew, home of the Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace. As well as some Thai boxing and night shots of Wat Arun.

More photos to come.

There are hundreds of more photos that still need to be sorted out — from Northern Thailand to Cambodia to the island of Koh Samui.

(yes, I'm procrastinating)

Blog

So one of the greatest ways of communicating with friends and family back home while we were in Southeast Asia was blogging. It was also probably the cheapest as well. Whether it was at an Internet café or on a computer at a hotel, it was pretty easy to add a daily post throughout our trip.

Our daily blog.

I set this up through WordPress since it was easy and free but I'll eventually integrate it into this site so it'll be more consistent.

Check it out and post a comment if you like...
